| Mon 24th May 2010 at 14:42 |  This time in Orlando last night - an amazing concert - great audience - more than $700 raised for the church - and a 100% standing ovation at the end - and totally deserved by everyone - soloists - company - everyone. And what about Vocal Element? - amazing kids - and they gave me an idea!
With just short of 300 in the audience last night and more than 150 in Tampa last weekend the word about Sing Live USA has been spread to more than 500 people over 2 weekends - well done everyone - and thank you. Keep on talking to all you know - its word of mouth that does it - and lets get huge numbers at the upcoming Building the Dream workshops in both Tampa and Orlando - you can preregister by dropping me an email at jsm@singliveusa.com - dont forget to tell me who you are and which one you are coming to - and recruitment for our September concerts will commence imminently - just as soon as I can get all the paperwork done!

Our new official photographer - Tim - took more than 400 shots last night - of the show, the after party and individuals and groups - have seen some of them - he is a former Disney TV show producer and videographer and takes amazing pictures. We are working on a web area where you can view them and download what you want for free - watch this space. He also does fantastic family shots - so book him! Details as I get them.
I am keeping rehearsals going in Orlando on Tuesday evenings - same time same place - until we launch our next season - we will do workshops which were requested in the recent survey - just a $10 cover charge on the door - bring your music packs and we will do some more songs - and other fun stuff. Spread the word about that also

First of all congratulations to Sing Live Tampa on an amazing concert last Saturday. Everything just fell into place - and a really good sized audience - well done. Must say I have never been at a Sing Live concert anywhere where every single member of the audience stood up for a standing ovation - amazing - and now upwards and onwards! Thank you to everyone - and great job Mike!.
Rehearsals are nearing a climax for our concert in Orlando at Christ the King CHurch on Sunday - 4pm - so keep spreading the word and lets get a big audience there too - and I will see everyone at reharsals tonight.
I am now starting to plan our singing days in both Orlando and Tampa. The workshops will be called 'Building the Dream' and will be designed to have lots of no pressure singing fun - and there will hopefully be one or two special surprises - so lets spread the word!. The dates are Saturday June 5 at First Baptist Church Tampa and Saturday June 12 at Christ the King Church. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando
(Shirleys Church) - both days will start at 11am with registration starting at 10.30) till 5pm with an hours break for lunch - so bring a picnic!!. The cost for the entire day will be $15 if you preregister and $20 if you just show up on the door ( I need to know how much music to copy etc) I will be sending out an email to everyone on our entire Sing Live database over the next couple of days - so watch your emails and will also be putting an event notice on Facebook - so please lets get telling everyone we know and getting a huge company together in both Orlando and Tampa - and start 'really 'Building the Dream' - remember - all welcome - and you will also be able to sign up for our next season at these workshops

Auditions will be in Orlando at rehearsals tomorrow - just bring your sheet music for our pianist, your talent - and have a go - what have you to lose?
Sharon has sourced some amazing gold black and white scarves for performance attire for the ladies - they will be priced $10 each so please bring $10 cash to rehearsals as soon as ever possible so we can order them - tomorrow preferably - she has also found some smart gold ties for the men - also priced $10 so please bring the cash tomorrow fellas - thanks
I am working on an amazing fun filled singing day for everyone - one in Orlando and one in Tampa to be called ' Building the Dream ' - the idea is to get everyone together and bring anyone who you think would like to join us - and have a full day enjoying the Sing Live experience. The Orlando one will be on Saturday June 5 from 11am to 5pm - we will be learning 3 all new motivational and inspirational songs and the ones I have in mind will blow you away - you will be able to sign up very soon and I want you to spread the word to everyone you know - so come along and lets build the biggest company we have ever had in both Orlando and Tampa - even if its just for one day to start with - the rest will follow. Everyone on our database will be invited - and I need you to bring all your friends. The cost will be $15 for the entire day if you sign up in advance or $20 on the door - I simply need to know how many music packs to produce and get them to you by email as soon as possible. As yet I dont have a venue for Orlando - email me any ideas ( Shirleys church is not available) and I will be discussing the date and details with Mike tonight for Sing Live Tampa.

I am also working on our next season in both Orlando and Tampa and you will be able to sign in soon for that also. I am going back to my original dream and we will be doing real concerts - venues and dates to be sourced and decided - but knowing how successful, fun and popular our Sing Swing concert was in Orlando - we will be doing concerts themed around the fantastic American Big Band era - with some amazing company arrangements of many different styles of songs all given the big band treatment -and it will be another opportunity to dress up and costume yourselves in the styles of that great era of music.
Given the fact that the recession is still hitting us hard here, for our next season I am reducing the rehearsal and performance fee by 25% for everyone - down to $150 - a saving of $45 - with the goal that this will help everyone and we can build the company numbers to well over 100 singers in both Orlando and Tampa - more later am running out of space!! |

So to catch up - the concert at the Royal Albert Hall was nothing short of amazing - congratulations to all our singers from Sing Live USA aka the Elevator gang for a fantastic job and a fantastic adventure - and to all at Sing Live UK - vocal coaches, crew, singers and particularily Linda and Steve for putting it all together. Heres to the next time!
Uneventful flights home for all - on 3 different ones - and we all got home safe and weary and must say the jet lag has really hit me this time - must be out of practise - or getting old

And so upwards and onwards. Last couple of days have been catching up on sleep - catching up on news here - taking a rehearsal in Orlando - and today catching up on the blog - oh and the hundreds of emails waiting for me - if you emailed me watch your inboxes.

Home to a sort of shock - Trotters has changed management - everytime I go back to England I return to a 'new Trotters' - at least they may have changed the management and some of the bartenders but at least they havent changed the location!
Having dinner to catch up with Jeri and Kevin tonight and looking forward to a really fun and exciting weekend at my new adopted 85 degree home.
Maybe there will be a pool party nearby - and I dont mean the one played on a table with multi coloured balls and big long sticks!!
